Detroit: Become Human was another big announcement at Paris Games Week last week. Another PS4 exclusive from the developer that brought us Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls – both of which blurred the lines between cinema and game – and this one looks set to be another story heavy cinematic gaming experience dealing with what it means to be human and how that places machines in the broader landscape of ‘life’.
I’m personally a huge fan of cinematic games, but I get that they’re not for everybody. I love movies. I love games. It’s seems natural to me to try and blend the two, but others get pissed off at too much story and not enough action. Tell us what you think: Do you like movies you can control and be a part of? Or do you just like games as games?
